Wal-Mart Drops Fight Against Woman Like many I was a harsh critic of Wal-Mart suing a disabled woman over funds that would be used to help support her for the remainder of her life. I’m glad to see that Wal-Mart recognized that they did not have to recoup the money from the woman, instead opting to allow her and her family to keep the funds.
I would like to think that they did this out of compassion, but I must admit my cynical side says they did this to avoid another black mark against their company’s public relations and world wide image.
