Another fake controversy by a desperate Obama campaign and MSM. So now people should be offended for saying “that one”. Lame. If Senator Obama can’t take something as innocuous as “that one” how the hell can he be President when facing countries that would come up with some truly nasty epithets for him?
By the way, my friends, I know you grow a little weary with this back-and-forth. It was an energy bill on the floor of the Senate loaded down with goodies, billions for the oil companies, and it was sponsored by Bush and Cheney.
You know who voted for it? You might never know. That one. You know who voted against it? Me. I have fought time after time against these pork barrel — these bills that come to the floor and they have all kinds of goodies and all kinds of things in them for everybody and they buy off the votes.
So according to the leftist MSM McCain is disrespectful for pointing out the truth? Oh, right. We can’t have the truth.
What I find especially curious is all the MSM polls saying Obama is winning, but online polls that weekly cover tens of thousands of Americans show McCain winning? Which is correct? Personally I’ll go with the small number of online polls that called the last election correctly when the MSM was rooting for the Democrat just like this time, but regardless I think the election will be a close one.
What’s truly offensive is people like James Carville (on CNN’s Anderson Cooper 360) hinting that blacks will riot if Obama is not elected President, never mind the garbage the others on the program were espousing implying all Americans (read: whites) were racist and could cost Obama the election. Said comments and “analysis” led up to Carville’s idiotic comment of:
Now let me be clear here, if Obama goes in this race with a 5- point lead and losing this election, the consequences are — bull, man. I mean I don’t think that’s going to happen, but I think David it’s a point to bring up.
But you stop and contemplate this country if Obama goes in and he has a consistent five point lead and loses the election, it would be very, very, very dramatic out there.
So blacks will riot if Obama is not elected. What nonsense. Will many blacks be disappointed? Absolutely. The majority though are not stupid enough to go rioting in the streets because the election didn’t go as they planned. In my opinion, the assumption black Americans would riot over an election not going as they desired is in and of itself a racist attitude. But then again, it is James Carville saying this.
I really shouldn’t let myself get worked up over the MSM bias since I have already voted in an early ballot but the fact of the matter is I can’t stand the near propaganda bias of the MSM. Whether it’s the liberal television news media or the conservative talk radio, it’s annoying. Whatever happened to presenting the facts (all the facts!) and letting people think and decide for themselves?
Actually when I think about it that has never been the case in this country or any other. Until the relatively recent rise of the internet our news was filtered by the media without opportunity or ability to search for let alone hear any other version of events. And even that can be easily censored. Case in point: China.
And I’ll end this entry here before I continue wandering further from the topic.
