I still oppose any bailout or loan agreement based on the simple fact that these companies are being rescued from their own bad decision making. Other companies that make these same bad decision have to file bankruptcy. Why not the automakers? The government can not continue to rescue big business over and over, especially when those who caused the collapses and failures go unrepentant and arrogantly believe they deserve to be rewarded for their failures.

Is anyone really surprised by this, given Rod Blagojevich has been under investigation for so long? Obviously Obama is not tied to anything Blagojevich was doing, but I don’t buy into his faux surprise at the arrest given the ties between Blagojevich and Rezko. Yes that Rezko, the one lounging in jail. It’s not like it’s a surprise that Chicago politics is full of corruption, most places suffer the same problem. It’s just the scale and blatancy of the corruption.
