McKinney running for president as Green candidate – CNN.com
Too bad the Green Party’s own agenda often prevent it from being taken seriously by the American public, especially when many of their non-green platforms sound more like the more extreme-left policies of socialists and communists. The Greens do have some policies that look promising but they get buried under the wave of bigger government mandates a number of their policies demand.
So the choices for President are:
Democratic Party: Barack Obama
Republican Party: John McCain
Libertarian Party: Bob Barr
Green Party: Cynthia McKinney
Obviously only Obama and McCain have any real shot at becoming President, but it would be nice if the U.S. could develop a political system beyond the archaic and stifling two-party system currently in place.
