Opie’s Final Days

Jay Carney, whom some close associated and I gave him the nickname “Opie”, is leaving as White House press secretary. I give him credit in lasting longer than I thought in such a thankless job. As much as we mocked him for his job as news spinner and propagandist for the administration, he did do better than another press secretary we dubbed Sergeant Schultz for his use of obliviousness as a tool for deflection of difficult questions or issues.

Foes to infiltrate Tea Party

Foes of tea party movement to infiltrate rallies – Boston.com

Levin says they want to exaggerate the group’s least appealing qualities, further distance the tea party from mainstream America and damage the public’s opinion of them.

This? Amuses me. Pathetic little Alinsky-ite tactics.

Why? Because Marx, Stalin, Lenin, Mao, et al are rolling over in their graves at the idea of telling your opponent exactly what you are planning. The ancient strategist Sun Tzu would be ashamed of this man’s tactical incompetence. What? Levin thinks no one outside of the lefty fringe has ever heard of these tactics before? Actually you’d think the guy would realize that he’s now actually providing cover for his opponents by giving them a way to deflect any possible blame, namely his own group. Another point brought up is if the Tea Party is inherently racist, homophobic, insert-offensive-epithet-of-the-day-here, then why do you need to infiltrate the group? If they are truly repugnant to the public, the public will turn away from them.

Too bad it won’t work since the core of the Tea Party is in line with what most American’s want: smaller, less intrusive government, fiscal responsibility, less taxes.

I guess the Tea Party may soon need bouncers, eh? /lamejoke

Mocking Kennedy’s Histrionics

Bloggers Mock Rep. Patrick Kennedy’s Meltdown on House Floor

Ah so, Kennedy’s little Prozac moment caught people’s attention. Honestly I was laughing at the man’s self-important histrionics. Sure he had a point about the media whoring over Rep. Massa and ignoring important issues but let’s face it, the newsmedia never covers what it thinks is important, not what is actually important. All you need for proof of that was the MSM’s pandering for Obama, ignoring the obvious defects of Obamacare and the economy, amongst many other things. Besides the MSM isn’t interested in anything that isn’t tabloid in nature anymore. Case in point: the coverage of Kennedy’s own histrionics rather than the legislation he wanted passed.

So go, interwebs, go. Mock away.

Pick One

I love the ongoing hypocrisy of the DNC over Obamacare. They can’t seem to decide on the reason why their plans are going down in flames. Perhaps it’s their own obfuscations, not that they would ever admit that even to themselves. I guess it goes back to the old joke about the Democratic Party always destroying it’s own plans with the best of intentions. (It’s not like the Republicans are any different, either.)

Reason 1: It’s GOP’s fault. Rejected by the public simply on the fact that the Democrats hold the majority in both the House and Senate.

Reason 2: It’s a vast right-wing conspiracy to “manufacture” anger and “mobs”. Rejected by the public since it’s well…the public that is angry and yes it is a mob of people.

Reason 3: It’s the wacky gun-toting militias fault. Rejected by the public as pure “WTF, do you really think we’re THAT stupid?”

Reason 4: It’s the insurance companies. Rejected by some 80%+ of the public who have coverage and like it.

Reason 5: As per today’s e-mail from the propagandists at Democracy for America:

…we’ve been pushing back on the media lies…

Ah, the big mean Obama loving MSM is somehow now a pack of liars. Funny how Obama and Co didn’t mind when the MSM blatantly went their way without even a hint of objectivity or journalistic integrity.

I guess it never occured to them that trying to force it on the American people without them have any input (as the White House tried to do by insisting that it be done by August in order to silence the people) coupled with the fact that few to none had actually read the bill passed by the House and suspicious intimidation tactics like snitch@bigbrother along with their ongoing bankrupting and pillaging of American taxpayers to pay off all their chums in the unions, corporations, banks, and so on might just tick the American people off.

Whoduthunkit?

I expect their next phase it going to a combination of releasing the attack dogs on anyone even hinting dissent against ObamaCare and trying to put out emotion-based appeals to try and guilt trip America into giving up their health care for a government run monstrosity. Who know? Maybe they’ll surprise me and allow true open, nonpartisan, and reasonable discussion of the issue fro the group the matters the most, the people, instead of the “my way or else” elitist dictatorial attitude currently floating around.

Is the honeymoon over?

One can only hope, but I doubt it.

So Obama had a Q&A today and is having another propaganda fest tomorrow on ABC, which I’ll be avoiding out of the principle of censorship on the part of that network. ABC can make all the claims they want that what they’re doing tomorrow is not censorship by denying an opposing voice to Obama’s health care “reform” but that’s exactly what it is in classic Soviet fashion.

Now today’s presser was, for me, more interesting to watch Obama get huffy with reporters who questioned his activities than anything else. After all, the rest was simply half truths, hypocrisy, lies, wishful thinking, and an intentional insertion of a blogger into the press conference in order for Obama to make himself look better on his Iran statements. It’s funny how he instantly alway frowned and tensed up in obvious displeasure when somebody questioned him. The worst was his obnoxious dismissal of one reporter near the end so that he could quickly get a kiss ass question from a CNN “reporter’. I did take heart that it appears the MSM is finally starting to act like an independent free press. That or just getting good at pretending to be an independent free press.

That said, there was plently to mock. So what was covered?

Obama making the rediculous claim of being 95% cured of his smoking habit. Kinda like being 95% pregnant eh? Ri-ight. Sorry, but the President has no right to be acting holier than thou about smoking when he himself has not quit.

His covering his ass on a government run health care system, in effect saying he has no problems with destroying yet another American industry in order to expand the government’s corrupt little tendrils into people’s lives.

He doesn’t think there’s a need for a third stimulus package….wait for it…wait for it…Yet! Yes, our lovely litle Prez wants another stimulus package which the country can not afford just in time to save his colleagues asses in Congress from when the American public vents their frustration at them for effectively economically crippling the country for the forseeable future.

Apparently Mr. Obama thinks South America consists of one country, Chile. Okay he did mention another, Brazil. Too bad his question was asked with regards to South America in general.

Guess he’s touchy about his ears for some reason. Note to the Prez: someone using the name Spock is not always referring to you. For that matter, note #2: the universe does not revolve around you.

Best Follow Up Letter Ever

I love snark especially when well written. From craigslist (where I was browsing out of boredom) a reply to all those rejection letters people suffer through during their quest for employment.

Today’s Date:

Dear [person who sent rejection letter],

Thank you for your letter of [date of the rejection letter]. After careful consideration, I regret to inform you that I am unable to accept your refusal to offer me employment at this time. This year I have been particularly fortunate in receiving an unusually large number of rejection letters. With such a varied and promising field of candidates, it is impossible for me to accept all refusals. Despite [Name of the Company]’s outstanding qualifications and previous experience in rejecting applicants, I find that your rejection does not meet with my needs at this time.

Therefore, I will initiate employment with your firm immediately. I look forward to working with you. Best of luck in rejecting future applicants.

Sincerely,
[Name]

Zombie Company

I got a bit of chuckle over this recent definition from Urban Dictionary. (Bold added to the part I found especially amusing.)

Zombie Company

1. A technically bankrupt company that is kept alive with large infusions of government money for the sake of “stability” in the U.S. financial system. 2. A large financial company with negative net worth that continues to operate, despite having no clear path to solvency. 3. The UnDead of Wall Street.

Just call it a rollback

A suggestion for the President and his next propaganda media event:

Screen the crowd for overzealous Obama-zombies. It freaks out the regular public, such as myself, to see someone praising your like you are the second coming of Jesus Christ, and to see another older woman with a fanatical gleam in her eye saying “I love you, Obama”. Better still, quit the whole messianic cult of personality shtick. It always ends badly. Just look at history for evidence of that.

And while your at it, don’t make bald faced lies like you did this time around. The MSM (despite my personal dislike for them) will hand you your ass over such blatancy, especially after the snub you gave some and the blatantly politically using of others during the previous nights propaganda event.

My favorite bumper-sticker seen today: So how is that change working out for you?

And since President Obama thinks he has the right to change the definition of “earmark” to fit his political agenda, a couple friends decided to make some new definitions as well. One of my favorite:

A revolution to overthrowing a government is now to be called a government rollback.

And no, for those individuals lacking a sense of humor (like those fanatical Obama-zombies), I’m not advocating a “government rollback”.
